Ibiza Airport is the international airport mainly serves the Balearic Island of Ibiza and Formentera in Spain. It is located 7 km southwest of Ibiza Town. It is popular and major European holiday destination specifically during the peak season that reasons from May to October. The airport was established as an emergency airport in the Spanish Civil War. In 1949 it was converted into an airport open to domestic and international flights but later was closed in 1951.
