Cairo International Airport

Situated in the north-east of Egypt, Cairo is the capital and largest city of the country. The city of Cairo, also called “the Victorious City”, is known as the most important cultural centre of Egypt. Cairo Airport is the main international airport serving the city of Cairo. This airport is the busiest and largest airport of the country with approximately 17 million passengers per year, offering flights to nearly 95 destinations.

Cairo International Airport is located in the north east of downtown Cairo, in Heliopolis. The distance from the airport to the centre of the city is 10 miles. It takes roughly 30 minutes to get to the city centre of Cairo from the airport.

TERMINAL INFORMATION OF CAIRO AIRPORT

Cairo International Airport has four passenger terminals.

Terminal 1: It operates all non-Star Alliance airlines.

Terminal 2: It is connected to Terminal 3 by an air bridge. This terminal is home to some airport services.

Terminal 3: It is used for both international and domestic flights.

Terminal 4: It is also known as the seasonal terminal. It is only used for Hajj season.
