Bilbao Airport, BIO, is located around 9 km north of Bilbao, in Biscay. It is the largest airprot in the Basque County in the northern Spain. The airport construction started in 1936 and was completed in 1948. It has undergone many renovations and the current terminal has a sleek designs.
