About Bahamas

Lynden Pindling International Airport in Nassau, on New Providence island, is the main gateway to the Bahamas and the busiest airport in the islands. A Nassau Airport transfer takes you to the hotels of Cable Beach, to downtown Nassau or to Paradise Island, which is linked to New Providence by bridges. Reaching a resort with luggage after a long flight is easier when someone is waiting for you: book your airport transfer as a private transfer on Tranigo, compare vehicles and local providers, and pay the price you see when you book.

Most day trips start in Nassau: boat trips to nearby cays and snorkelling reefs, an afternoon on Paradise Island, or a walk through downtown past Parliament Square, the Queen's Staircase and Fort Fincastle. Further afield, the Exumas are famous for their turquoise water and the swimming pigs of Big Major Cay, usually visited on a full-day boat or flight excursion.

Nassau's colonial past fits into a few streets and is easy to walk past without noticing: a local guide can explain the old forts, the pirate era and the Bahamian traditions behind Junkanoo, and point you to the food stalls of Arawak Cay. Use the Guides tab in the search above to look for a private guide, or write to us on WhatsApp.
