Denial of assistance to PRMC / Data and facts / Sharm El Sheikm Airport

August 27, 2025, I arrival at the airport, on flight from Venice, with code WA6765

With the wheelchair requested for all segments of the flight (Madrid-Venice – Sharm El Sheikh), they take us off the plane with a platform and leave us at the airport access door, coinciding with the entry of the rest of the passengers.

We asked a military officer in white who controls access about the "wheelchairs" and he informed me that there were NONE.
Once inside, no one attended to our request for a wheelchair.

Moving with noticeable difficulty due to my back problems, we headed to the airport exit where a hired car was waiting to take us to the hotel.

On Wednesday, September 3rd, the date of our return, we arrived at the airport well in advance and requested assistance.
A man who usually moved around there, as we found out (not an official, but known by officials) as well as others "dedicated to assistance" indicated to us that there are NO wheelchairs or assistance, which made us wait for the bus that takes people to the plane.
The return is to Rome.

Again with great difficulty, I manage to climb the airplane stairs and finally reach my assigned seat. It's flight WA 6112.

But the unfortunate odyssey doesn't end there.

When the plane arrives in Rome, as usual, we wait to deboard last, and when we ask about assistance from the flight attendant, she tells us that it was not requested.
We showed the boarding pass where WCHR/PRMC is indeed listed, and they pointed out that "we had declined assistance at SHARM EL SHEIK airport."

That is to say, they not only denied the existence of wheelchairs, and therefore assistance, but they also assigned us the declination of that assistance, which invalidated subsequent assistance.

Fortunately, the onboard staff of WIZZAIR managed to reactivate the assistance in Rome and even took us directly to the boarding area for the flight to Madrid, whose departure time was approaching.

I therefore want to express my strong denunciation of the management of assistance and support for people with reduced mobility by the officials in that area of the Sham El Sheik airport, and especially for transmitting FALSE information that we declined the help, which led to the "cancellation" in a chain of that assistance in the subsequent linked boarding/disembarking.

Are you going to do something in this regard, given the international legislation that mandates the provision of care and assistance services for Persons with Reduced Mobility?
Or are you going to continue ostentatiously denying the assistance service, lying later by claiming that we declined the assistance?????

At the same time, show gratitude and recognition to the cabin crew of the flight who managed to help us in the face of such a debacle.
