-Bezm-i Alem Valide Sultan Mosque

The mosque was built for the Bezm-i Alem Valide Sultan, the mother of Abdulmecid. Decorations were inspired by the French empire style in 1852. Bezm-i Alem Valide Sultan Mosque is the first western-style mosque of the Ottoman Empire. It is also known as Dolmabahce Mosque because it is located within the borders of Dolmabahce Palace.
